How the Network is to be Organized
Please refer to the diagram, specifically the rings, while reading about levels.
The first level of accessibility offers general information about basic housing, about projects, about members, and statistical facts about projects. This satisfies the need for publicly accessible general information. The information will be provided by the membership.
The second level supplies detailed information about projects and the technologies used in making the projects. The second level is only accessible to the licensed membership. Each member must supply basic information as to the number of units built and with what technology, the cost and so on as a condition of membership. Those members who have projects to build can access how others have done similar projects. Those who have proprietary technology may introduce their work in greater detail to those who may wish to license the use of that technology for themselves, as an introduction to the third level.
The third level functions as a market. At this level, a member supplies proprietary information, equipment, training, systems, designs, etc. through license agreements with another member. Suppliers of building technology transfer that technology or Professionals render those services and information or Investors arrange funding. They receive compensation from those accepting.
At the third level, there are different classes and categories in the market. Some proprietary information may be as simple as information exchanged for credits, such as tips, designs, techniques, practices. At this level, exchanges have value, and the market tracks and accounts for credits for exchanging information. The spectrum of third level transactions would range from information exchanges to contracts to complete and supply all or part of any particular project, and to fund any part thereof, or to joint ventures. Anything to do with building, development and sustainable living may use this market.
At the third level, precedents, contracts and licensing agreement formats will serve as the basis for transactions, which will be subject to negotiation and agreements specific to the circumstances. |
